Accessibility Statement

We want every customer to be able to browse and buy from Heimdepot comfortably, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This statement explains where we are and what we are still improving.

Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Accessibility is considered whenever we design a new page or add a new collection, rather than checked once a year.

What we have implemented

· Semantic headings and landmark regions so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
· Descriptive alternative text on every product and lifestyle photograph.
· Colour contrast that meets or exceeds AA requirements for body text and buttons.
· Full keyboard operability, including visible focus styles on links, buttons and form fields.
· Labels and clear error messaging on all forms.
· Responsive layouts that reflow to 320px and support 200% text zoom.

Known limitations

· Some older product photographs are not available in higher resolution for extreme zoom.
· Third-party payment windows follow the provider's own accessibility standards, which we cannot modify.
